Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia

At the heart of Kinta Valley. The capital city of the state of Perak. An opposition stronghold. Factory of brilliant people. Desolated through emigration of its inhabitants to other parts of the country and overseas. Yet... it is forever remembered by its people.

I have read an article in December Massa magazine recently, writing that Tun Dr. Mahathir's popularity increased from 81% in June of last year (1 month before his announcement of PM resignation in UMNO assembly) to 84% in July this year. This is a jubilant scenario because this indicates that Dr.M's contributions to the nation is wholely recognised by our citizen, where we can observe that for most of the leaders in the west countries, they hardly get 100% support from their citizen.

Beign the country's ambassador for 22 years, his contributions in building in the nation in all perspective is undoubtedly excellent. After took over the position of the nation's no.1 servant from Tun Hussein Onn, he immediately launch lots of policies in order to transform to technology-based country and administrate efficient governmental machinery. His dedication to the country can be seen by his Dasar Pandang Timur, Besih, Cekap and Amanah, Penang Bridge construction, national car in the 80-an until the MSC mega project, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, KLIA, Petronas Twin Tower, Sepang Circuit etc has unveally shown his capability as the foreseer of country development.

In the international perspective, his role as the 3-rd world speaker is admirable also by global players. People around the world will always like to listen to his corny yet amazing speech. His presentation on the global stage will normally be given the warmest cheers and thumbs-up from the audience due to his sharp and constructive insights of current global issues analysis. Sometimes, he is become the paradigm of other countries' leader in developing their nation.

Being the anak watan Malaysia since from past, now until forever, we pay tribute to his countribution towards Malaysia development. I'm proud to be Malaysian!
