Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia

At the heart of Kinta Valley. The capital city of the state of Perak. An opposition stronghold. Factory of brilliant people. Desolated through emigration of its inhabitants to other parts of the country and overseas. Yet... it is forever remembered by its people.

Saying it and doing it, not easy

All of us like to complain. We criticise Badawi, just like the way we did it to the TUn last time.

We like criticise the college, and now we criticise the we do things in the Klang Hostel. Bad maintenace, bad food and all that.

TOday, we have the chance to meet up with our deputy deans and the food caterer and the IT people.

THis the chance to complain about slow connection, about bad food, about whatever that we like to talk so much at mamak stalls and in our rooms.

But when the chance comes, most of us kept quiet. Only Razi and I and a few girls made the effort to attend the meeting and the tour.

Yeah, it may be true from past experience that they would just talk only no action, but not doing or saying anything now is just admitting defeat?

No point we criticse national issues if we cannot fight for certain things not right in our own campus. This is perhaps the basic and first things in student council action.

Many hypocrites around who cakap kosong but lack the courage to speak up. Empty vessels and cowards.
