Indeed, Kepayang is a new state seat. The seat is also exactly the seat of Ipoh city centre. It comprises of GUNONG MASOORAT, KEPAYANG MESJID, KAMPONG PISANG, FAIR PARK, STAR PARK, GREEN TOWN, WALLER COURT, JALAN DATUK ONN JAAFAR, JALAN BIJIH TIMAH, JALAN DATO MAHARAJA LELA, and JALAN SULTAN YUSOF voting districts. Taman Lim which is just 2 streets away from my house in Ipoh, is still under Buntong state seat. HAHA.. I am staying in Ipoh City Centre and yet I don't feel that it is like a city.. perhaps I can only say that Ipoh is far from being as developed as a city is supposed to be.
