Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia

At the heart of Kinta Valley. The capital city of the state of Perak. An opposition stronghold. Factory of brilliant people. Desolated through emigration of its inhabitants to other parts of the country and overseas. Yet... it is forever remembered by its people.

I have come across with an article yesterday. It's all about Sam M. Walton, the illustrious american cowboy who acted as the founder of Wal-Mart, thw world largest and elite retailer and merchandiser.

I smile mildly, thinking that it was another excerpt that I couldn't miss out. Reading others' bibliography, the way they strived and sprawled the last, their astute and discerning eyesight, the formulate of success and the long history since its small hub of retailng until the arrrogant worldwide kingdom of uncountable franchise merchandising, is really an invigorating experience, which is kinda inspired and heightened.

Sam Walton, an imp from a poor family, was stirred in the financial constraint since his childhood. The frequent change of employment happened on his father, which was due to the economic downturn had motivated the little guy's aspiration to work intelligently for a better life.

The mantra of Wal-Mart has successfully reached a win-win situation to all parties. Walton emphasised on the low-price retails to help the consumers to save the maximum expenditure without the deteriorition of quality. His long-term goodwill had gained the consumers' confidence and relatinship. The sales prices which were always maintained as the lowest, causing life became immesurably more difficult for every other competitors, and hence he emerged as the formidable player in this retailing industry. Albeit his competitors knew Walton's strategies of his trademarked "lowest prices to benefit all", but sometimes they found that it was quite impractical and had their harrow time to emulate the multi-pronged strategy. This is the main sake of why Wal-Mart can grow organically and arrogantly under the stewardship of its shrewed founders and successors, and emrged as the world wealthiest business, before giving way to Microsoft for the last decade.

Sam Walton, althrough being affluent, yet he still prefered his moderate lifestyle - with his austere appearence, ride with economic-class flight or ship sailing, and even would seriously bend down his body to pick a penny. He could be described as someone who is respectful and there are many values that we should be treasured from him. Lavish lifestyle and extravagance always ends one's up with sense of complacency, laziness, gullibility and out of focus.

I wouldn't write much about him here, since I was critised of my longish blog. Forgive me about my lunatic blog as I haven't empowered the skills of writing a concise and succinct, yet eloquent weblog. I will learn it.
